This is the home of Cambridge in New York, and is aimed primarily at friends and alumni of Cambridge University who now reside in the United States.

If you experience any difficulties or errors with this site, we ask that you take the time to email us with the details so we can correct the problem. We also welcome any suggestions for making the site more useful to you.

	Site Guidelines

This site is a public forum, and any information you post here is potentially available to anyone with Internet access. Accordingly, please abide by the following guidelines when posting information:

• Do not post any information that you do not wish to become public knowledge.
• Do not post abusive or objectionable material of any kind. We reserve the right to edit or remove postings at our sole discretion.
• Please do not misuse information posted by other members. We also reserve the right to revoke accounts that are misused.

	Membership

It is necessary to have an account with the site in order to post information here. Account information will be only be shared with other account holders, except where you indicate otherwise on the account set-up page. If you do not already have an account, you can apply for a new account here.

	Posting Events

If you know of an event that alumni of Cambridge University or one of the Colleges might be interested in, then you can post the information on the Calendar by clicking the add event button at the bottom of the page.

If you wish the general public to be able to see the event on the Calendar, then check the box allowing non-members to see this information; otherwise, leave it unchecked, and only members of the site will be able to see it.

	Posting Photographs

If you have photographs from an event attended by alumni of Cambridge University or one of the Colleges, then you can post them in the Gallery. If someone else has already created an album for the event, then you can add the pictures there by clicking the add photo button. Otherwise, you can create a new album for the event by clicking the add album button in the main Gallery section.

Again, if you wish the general public to be able to see the album as a whole or a particular photograph, then check the box allowing non-members to see it; otherwise, leave it unchecked, and it will only be visible to only members of the site.

Photos should be no larger than 640 pixels on any side, and no bigger than 50k. Larger photos will be shrunk automatically, but please do not submit photos larger than 500k. Please be courteous in posting photographs, and do not submit unflattering pictures.
